  1. Hey, I'm 33 and I had that done (moved forward, though) when I was 15.  My mouth was wired shut for two weeks afterwards and I lost 15 pounds.  If I had to do it again, I'd do it in a heartbeat.  I look so much better now and immediately knew I'd made the right choice.  It's a piece of cake and it'll be over before you know it.  I was weak for a total of one month.

  2. Jaw surgery is a great thing if it's needed. For details you should speak to an oral surgeon. You should be able to do dance and track. As long as you are not doing a contact sport. You should be fine.

Just remember that just prior to your surgery, the orthodontist has to make your jaw stick out even more. The worse he can make it look. The easier it is for the oral surgeons to place it in the proper position. So don't freak out when it starts looking really bad before surgery.

Good Luck. It's really not as bad as it seems.

  3. i had this done 2 months ago its not that bad i had a cross bite but its all pretty much the same

it dosnt really  hurt snice you will be numb

you will be in the hosiptal one night to make shure everything is ok

i was there 2 nights cuz of my stuipd blood pershure was to low ughhhh but you dont have to worry lol

you cant do sports for 4 months cuz the jaw is still healing

    band not shure ???

eating will be a prob but its easy to deal with cuz u know you will be better soon just get all the diff soups you like :D

swelling was the most anoying part but after 2 weeks it will look much better

chewing was better for me by the 6th week its still a lil hard and i cant really open my mouth 100% well but thats fine i dont even notice it at all any more

this surguury is REALLY safe and your gonna be 100% fine

    dont worry

and also think of how grate you will look when you are done with it like its gonna take a while i think 6 months till u see ur 100% recovery but after just a few weeks you will also see change
