price varies, it's very safe, not sure about age, usually only lasts about 10 years, worse than 20/20 vision.

There a quite a few types of corrective eye surgery. Prices can range from a few hundred to a few thousand. Because it's very common now, it's considered relatively safe. There are risks, as with any type of surgery, but the risks are low and minor. As for age, I know that our doctors want at least 3 years of a stable refraction. You shouldn't really look into it until you're at least 18. Your eyes change dramatically as you grow up. Nothing lasts a lifetime. Even with corrective surgery, your eyes age. Most people need to use reading glasses when they reach their 40's and up, even though they've had LASIK.
