I have the Western Digital MyBook 500 GB Premium and the drive fell over on its side and suddenly was reported "corrupted" by my computer, which said the data had been lost. I am currently in the "denial" stage of the grief process, so I'm hoping there's some way to get it working again. At this point, the drive turns on automatically when it's connected to my computer, but it doesn't show up in My Computer or under the Disk Management thing under Computer Management. It also makes a slight clicking noise which I've heard is "not good" according to troubleshooters. I am a film student and I had a couple projects that I've spent the last few weeks editing, so even if I can't get the drive working again, is there any way to salvage the files from the disk?
