Corsa electrical problem.help?

my corsa 1995 has just had some morrettes fitted and all the lights indicators hazards were working and after a day of using them my indicators wouldnt indicate and nothing came up on the display.but my hazards worked but the light on the hazard button doesnt light up and it doesnt show up on the display. also i have just found out my brake lights arnt working. i am unsure on what to do.i have been told electrical problems are very costly. any help apreciated. thanks

1 check fuses, - if one is blown, it could be the one for brake/turn signals (most cars use same lights for both)!  If fuse is blown, -possibly the new lights require too much current to operate, - thus knocking out fuse! You might try one no more than 5 amps "heavier" and see if it blows!  It would not be good to go much higher than that, - as it is possible to burn wiring - if current draw is too heavy (fuse is "safety valve" to prevent that!

If fuse continues to blow disconnect the new lights - and see if it operates ok now!  If they are the problem, you may need to have a relay installed that goes on a off with TS/brake lights, -and operates the new ones direct from power derived from battery, not the TS circuit!

And of course if you do really have circuit problems (not something  done when wiring it up)!  Go to  good auto supply store (like AutoZone)and buy a "Haynes Repair Manual", this is the best of manuals, and unlike many, - it has wiring diagrams in back of book so you at least know where you are going to check  for continuity and shorts!

This will cost you less than $20 about anywhere you find it ! This is a complete maintenance manual, and tells you how to do just about everything except rebuild your automatic transmission. Complete with illustrations etc, -so most people can understand what to do and how!
