I am travelling to the UK for work for a month? Whats the cost of living in the UK? Whats are do's and dont's in the UK for Indians?

What to shop for in the UK? I am going to Manchester, any inputs are welcome..

  1. Cost of residence + 300pounds for food etc.One room residence about 400pounds.Try to live in Indian area, it is cheaper and you can know cheap eating, buying etc.Shop for Jackets, Sweaters, cheapest in Primark stores.


  2. The cost of living in the UK is basically...TOO HIGH.

  3. Better come loaded if your not going to get a job but just visit. It's pretty expensive to rent a room, food is fairly cheap I guess but thats in GBp (£). If your going to convert your own capital into GBp (£) then it may not be worth a lot. The exchange rate is £1 = 84 INR.
