Further to the question regarding the Mcdonalds Burger:

What is the cost in the UK, US, Germany (cakes) or any other countries (Hennie, CAT, Darth) for the following items (compared to South Africa)

Lamb: R49.50 per KG ($6.10 per KG)

Loaf of Bread: R6.69 ($0.82)

Banana's per KG: R6.95 ($0.86 per KG)

LRG Packet of Fritos (Crisps) R7.50 ($0.92 per PKT)

Bacon: R22.85 per 250g ($2.81 per PKT)

Peter Stuvesant Blue R19.49 per 20 ($2.40per 20)

Petrol Per Litre: R9.84 ($1.21 per ltr)

Pantene Shampoo (wife) R21.69 ($2.67 per bottle)

24 Jumbo Eggs R21.49 ($2.65 per 24)

    I'm from Turkey as you aren't interested. I don't know the prices very well. Petrol is more expensive in Turkey and the loaf of Bread is cheaper (of course it gets more expensive if it's organic or something) and the others are almost same.

    Lamb:  About 20 Euros a kg

    Loaf of Bread:   59c to 1,39 Euros

    Banana's per KG: 1 Euro to 1,29 Euros

    LRG Packet of Fritos (Crisps) We don´t have Fritos, but Pringles is 1,59 Euros

    Bacon:  1,29 Euros/100g

    Peter Stuvesant Blue  4 Euros for 20

    Petrol Per Litre:  1,51 Euros for Petrol and 1,47 for Diesel

    Pantene Shampoo - No idea

    R21.49 1,29 Euros /10 medium size

  6. Here is a link to an online grocer store in New Zealand that you will find easy to see prices. There are cheaper stores in New Zealand (Pack n Save) that is a no frills chain.

    Petrol in NZ is $2.06 per litre R6.

    But then what price do you put onto safety and a peaceful living, with a future for your family.

    Lamb : Very expensive as it is imported from Australia but we pay $1400/kg (R300)

    Bread : R5 ($25)

    Bananas : R6.60 per kg.

    Crisps (Dorito's) R5 - $(At a 7-11 a bit cheaper at a supermarket)

    Bacon : R30/kg (pork is very cheap at the market you pay R20/kg )

    Dunhill : R8

    Marlboro: R12

    Petrol : 95 octane : R6.92 per ltr

    Eggs: 60c per egg 24 eggs R14.40 - wow quite expensive

    Audi : No idea of new car prices but it its in the millions.

    Beer : R4.40 Taiwan beer Heineken : R6

    Wiskey : R120 per bottle.

    Chicken: R30/kg of the deboned drumstick.  

                     Whole chicken including head and feet : R24/kg

    Hennie can also give prices as he lives in the big city and we live out in the platterland so our meat is much cheaper as we get it straight from the farm.
