  1. You are unable to get a Maori tattoo unless you are a Maori.

Your husband will know this, and his tribal elders will work with him in the artistry of the design.

Such tattoos are generally paid for by koha.

An ink facial marking can hardly be called a tattoo, and this can be done by anyone with a flair for design and a steady hand.

Artists at the Victoria Park Market (and other markets) may be able to apply such a design for 10, 20 or 30 dollars.

  2. totally agree with the first answer you got(DRIVER T?)..if your husband wants a maori style tattoo then this a different question...call the studios,go to the internet, have a look at the studios websites, show interest, explain u dont live in NZ and i am sure they will give you an estimate, coz KIWIS are sweethearts and down to earth and from my experience, always willing to help !!!

    P.S.I am not a kiwi  hehe x

  3. Koha / Gift   tell him to get in touch with his elders and family,

Id got offered to have mine done for a koha but turned it down because i wanted to study my lineage abit more.

What Driver T said in a nutshell.

  4. just goto any tattoo place with a pattern you like - like Robbie Williams did
