  1. 15,000-30,000 $

  2. Yes I would like to know as well as we have large groups of poeple going around the world

  3. It will cost quite a bit. Not only do you have to pay for the flight time, but also the ferry time to get the aircraft from where it is to where you want to depart from, and to return it to where it needs to be from where you have had it go. Suppose that you want to charter to fly from New York to Anchorage, Alaska. The airline has one in Chicago and needs the aircraft in Seattle. You would have to pay to ferry (operate empty) the aircraft from ORD to JFK, and ANC to SEA, which total about 5 hours operating time, plus the 7 hours from JFK to ANC. In total you would have to pay for 12 hours of flight time at somewhere around $40,000 per hour, or $480,000. Adding meals and liquor could add another bite, and other charges could bring the bill to $500,000. This is just a guess on my part, as I have not seen any live costs for this aircraft, so the costs could be twice this.

  4. It costs about $27,000 per hour now to operate a 747-400.  So the charter rate would be at least $35,000 to $37,000 per hour.  It doesn't sound as bad if you break it down by passenger miles.  It's about $100-$112 per hour per passenger, which is comparable to a business-class ticket across the Pacific Ocean.

But you have to fill it slam full of passengers to justify the cost.  Have a nice trip.
