I'm planning on going on a trip (for two) sometime soon and is wondering how much it cost from the coast of CA to Dublin and if you guys know where the best place to stay. I'm thinking about spending a month or at least three weeks there so please keep it cheap. Thanks sooo much.

  1. go during off season times, stay in hostel ( they're cool),  you can take buses everywhere they're pretty cheap or rail.  stay on the coasts, I found it was cheaper out there specially the west coast.  if you stay in hostels you can purchase your food from a grocerey store and prepair it your self its cheaper than buying from some of the restraunts.  check out bed and breakfasts.  I stayed in the UK for three weeks went all over southern Ireland wales and London  and spent a total of about 3000 dollars that includes air fare from AZ to ireland, Ireland to London, and boat from wales to Ireland.  Shop around.

  2. Hostels are the cheapest, take Aer Lingus, it's cheap and non-stop.

  3. well i dont know how much but i live in hawaii so i would go to Alaska

  4. don't fly virgin staff are very rude seats are uncomfortable

  5. Youth hostels- google it & Virgin air lines

  6. try booking well in advance of your trip b/c then you can get cheaper flights. I wasn't a fan of aerlingus b/c it was not comfortable and the aircraft was rather old. I did like flying British Air but there is a layover in London. (you have to fly over ireland for the layover only to fly back). but at least they had the best entertainment in the aircraft, seats and food. While in Ireland I would try staying at B&B's. They provided the most comfort and suprisingly many of them had bedrooms with their own bathrooms and showers. Plus having breakfast with the family is wonderful. They want to learn as much about you as you do about them and their country. Definately look to stay in Cork, Galway, Kilkenny and Kilarney.  http://www.bnbireland.net/

  7. Try and not go during summer, the rates really jump during that time. Transportation is going to be the biggest expense between the airfare and rental car / gas. B&B's are a good option as are self catering . With self catering you can choose 3-4 locations around the country to set up a base from and do day trips. That way you only have to pack and unpack a few times rather that every day or to. You can also save money this way by preparing your own meals in the self catering lodgings kitchen.
