Cost of a trip to Canada?

i am fifteen, sixteen soon, and plan on going to visit my bestfriend

in canada next summer. i live in iowa, and i was just wondering

how much it would it be if i flew to canada.

i just flew to alaska in december and ended up

paying almost 800 for one plane ticket, would it cost as much

to fly to canada as it was for me to go to alaska?

it depends where in Canada you have to go.  Flying anywhere nowadays is expensive but no it shouldnt be as much as going to alaska.    If its central Canada you have to go (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) you could grab a bus or drive as those are within a day or so of Iowa.  Even Toronto area is not to far to bus or drive if you go south of the Lake Michigan and cross in detroit.

It really depends where in Canada, it is bigger than the continental U.S.  It should be quite a bit cheaper if you are going to Windsor or Toronto; however if he lives in Newfoundland you may be paying some serious money.  Try using Yahoo travel to look up ticket prices.
