Cost of cell phone use on cruise ships?

If you use your cell phone on a cruise ship, about how much would it cost? Specifically, if anyone knows about Celebrity Cruises, it would be helpful.

OMG they are so expensive. Just fork over the $2 and use the cruise phone. Believe me, it's like $10 A CALL!

i think it depends on the company..but if u do go to the mall u can ask the person of ur phone company htat question..it will be better to ask them

It doesnt cost anything to use in on the ship specifically, it will probably be used as Roaming although, I have Telus (Canadian) and we went on a cruise in the Caribbean, it was all roaming and the cell reception was very poor in the ship, you have to go outside for bars. (Carnival Cruises)

I used my cingular phone on a royal caribbean cruise and it was $2.99 per minute, while on the ship, but cheaper in the ports. I think it varies based on provider and ship location, call your provider and let them know which ship you will be on and they can tell you exactly how much it will cost.

I wasnt charged anything on my cruise.  I have verizon if that matters.
