A couple years ago I switched over to flourescent bulbs and cut back on my heating and cooling use. I noticed shortly afterwards that my power bills started going up. The harder I try to save energy the more they charge me for for what I do use. What the h**l is going on?! It's almost as if they are going to get a certain amount from me each month no matter what I do. I have read accounts of the same thing happening to others as well. America, you're being screwed!

  1. You may want to switch your energy provider and get a fixed rate so you can avoid the peak rates. I use an Energy Provider in Texas  and they have one of the lowest rates out there. You may want to see if they service your area.  Good Luck

  2. well i know you heard this before ...supply /demand. there is a limited supply of power, you have a demand for so much at a certain price.until it gets expensive you won't conserve,so a higher price means you will try to use less ,so higher price = rationing............tom
