Cost of filling your tank?

The cost of the use of fuels made from corn is forcing the price of corn up in many 3rd world countries. Now they cannot afford to buy such basics and are drifting into a food crisis.What do you think about this?

I think the bush administration is solely responsible.  pretty soon we will see food crisis across the world.  on top of that we have 10% ethonal in most gas stations which is slowly ruining the vehicles we are driving, plus the 100% increase in just trying to fill up our gas tanks.. scary ****, wish I could ride my bike evrywhere

I think it is expected.  Unfortunatley fuel drives our entire economy.  

But on a more personal note...it sucks.  It really does.  Americans are so greedy.  We're running around buying all this stuff we don't even need and like you said, people in 3rd world countries can barley eat.

Bush subsidizes biofuels, in his wisdom, so the poor get the lack of corn. The entire thing could be different if those that own the oil brought the price down. But if the Saudis did that

then Americans would start buying more SUV's. So let them pay for the petrol. As for the poor- give them rifles.
