I have a 99 golf and the window behind the driver seat doesnt go down. When you push the button it makes the noise like its going down but it doesnt actually go down. I was told it was the motor. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get this fixed? I looked online and the motor was around $50 but i'd rather bring it to a shop to get fixed so i know its done right. So including the part and labor anyone know the cost?

  1. yep its your window regulator. its probably ran by small cable and it is know for breaking when put in a bad bind.. but  an estimated price would be around $200. but could be cheaper.. Some regulators are cheap some are very expensive.. labor is probably around 35 to 75 bucks an hour depending on where you live...

  2. If it makes a noise like its not the motor. It sounds like the window regulator has come loose. Some of the guides are plastic and wear out. A window regulator should be cheaper than a motor but still cost the same in labor. Body sop rates are between 40 and 60$ and replacing the regulator should only be an hour and a half to replace

  3. $ 150 - $ 200,
