Cost of fixing camera?

i recentely got a casio digital camera. it fell down as i was taking a picture, and the lens got a lll screwed up.a nyone know the cost of repairing the camera? would it be cheaper just to buy an other one?

Unfortunately the economics of digital cameras usually make it so that fixing the camera isn't worth it. Usually it costs upwards of $100 to fix digital cameras. You could take it into your local camera shop and get an exact estimate though.

If you do decide to buy a new one you may want to get a friend who's get with electronics to open it up before you throw it out. Sometimes with stuck lenses you can open it up and fix it yourself, but you have to be very careful.

It might be cheaper and better to just buy a new camera.  A repair of my film SLR was $80 and that was ten years ago.  See if you can get it repaired if it's still under warranty and what kind of damage it covers.
