I will be traveling to Tel-Aviv this weekend for two weeks. I was wondering how much things are in Israel. I do understand that the shekel is used. I'm curious about the price of things like drinks, meals, etc. Any advice about what to expect in Israel will be helpful. Thank you.

  1. there is a nice place i know where you can get two skewers of meat on the grill, brad or fries, half liter beer (draft) and free salads for about 50 shekel. in a HUMUS restaurant that i like you can get a plate of humus, bread and salad and soft drink for less than that. in a good steak restaurant you can have a meal for 80 to 120 shekel. there are restaurants where you are expected to spend 300 to 500 shekel per meal.

you can buy a shirt for 15 shekel or for 300 shekel and all the range in-between.

  2. Things are becoming more expensive (in USD) as the dollar weakens.

Also, Ikea is nearly twice the price as in the UK or Sweden. I understand you're unlikely to buy a sofa in your two weeks, but it's really annoying me and I wanted to moan about it!

  3. prices in Israel are slightly cheaper, but not that much on most states in America.

    going out as well.

    a cappuccino is 12 shekels

    cake is about 20 shekels

meal per person is about 75-100 shekels

on the other hand a slice of pizza on the street is about 12 shekels, shuwarma is about 20 sheckels.

soft drinks are about 6-12 shekels when eating out.

    supermarkets are much cheaper.

    tipping in israel is 10%.

hope u have a great trip
