Cost of living in Hue, Vietnam?

I am moving in Vietnam in a month's time. I took a managerial job in a spa department in a hotel. it will be my first managerial assignment.

Is the place safe?like are there a lot of muggers, snatchers or looters? how about the cost of living? how long can a $100 last just for everyday expenses?

There are good and bad people everywhere. A part of how much trouble or how much happiness comes depends on how you live and interact with the people and the country. Say you are a philanthropist and are humble you will be received as such. If you are arrogant and rude then... well you know what to expect. You took a mission with so many unknown may be something questionable. I hope you at least learn some of the language and know the law of the land asap.

With the current exchange, $100.00 can get you though a month of food (as a unwealthy farmer may for a month) or it may be insufficient for a single meal.
