Cost of living in goa, for an indian male, recently got a job in goa...?

I belong to west bengal, got a job in goa, so if there is anyone from goa, who can advise regarding the rent, foodings and transport in goa...brokers pls excuse

It depends upon the place you are working .If you are employed in Margaon or Panji the rent cost can be very high .But in places like Mapsa or Ponda it can come down drastically .You can get small houses on bachelors status sharing basis for as low as 1500 Rs per month where two or three persons can stay. If you are a fish eater the cost of food is quite normal as in Bengal.For strict veg. it will be slightly more.Transportation is cheap by bus or Motorbike taxi.
