  2. just type in "cost of living in singapore" in the above "search for questions:" box and click Search. will get you many results. Many have helped answered this before.....Cheers!

  3. salary SGD 6000 + SGD 1700 = SGD 7700

Rent a master room cost average = SGD 700

Cost of food (eat out for lunch and dinner) = SGD 500

    Etc (internet+phone line+gym membership+etc) = SGD 500

    Simple calculation :  7700 - 700 - 500 - 500 = 6000.

So as you can see, I think, you can still save a around SGD 6000.

Note that above calculation is assuming you are a bachelor.

  4. Hi. the biggest expense in Singapore is house rental.

Since your company offer you house allowance , your income is considered quite ok.

1700 is not enough to rent a whole unit if you intend to rent a private house but you can get a Masterroom at around 1200SGD or whole unit of HDB with 2 bedrooms at 1700.

im a korean who has been living for 2 and half year... i find that only house rental is expensive in Singapore among those indispensible expenses.
