  1. OMG! Foreigners don't get paid as much as local citezins do to be honest. But this, this, is spectacular. For heaven's sake man, Specialized surgeons get started with 20,000 SAR. And don't forget that you'll get a LOT of raises.

Let's see family of four...hmm...I'll assume you're children are in school. I suggest you take them to an international school it has much better teaching than others an they'll graduate as geniouses. I know a lot of indian/pakistani/american/saudi/british kids who study in an international school (which is not a mixed school so boys and girls are seperated). It's VERY good and it's called Manarat International Schools. It has both boys and girls. The tuition fees are around 20,000SR (about 5.000$) per year for highschoolers (which I think you can afford).

The house: you can buy or rent villas or apartments over here. Maybe you'd like to live in a compound??. Both villas and apartments rent for 20.000 SAR (around 5.000$) to 40.000 SAR (around 10.000$) a year (it depends on the size). You'll do fine there's nothing to worry about. And of course if you have the cash you can BUY a villa with 4 bedrooms, in a decent neighborhood about 250mX650m for 1.200.000 (about 300.000$) SAR if not less.

As for Medical inssurance, you can go to one of the clinical offices and get a check-up for 20 (5$) SAR or less (which is really nothing to worry about).

Don't worry about electricity or gasoline they're both relatively cheap. An electric bill of a house of EIGHT is about 700 SAR (about 170$). People fill up their cars up to its LIMIT for only 28 SAR (less than 8$).

You'll do just fine COME HERE and get the greeen$!!! <= :P

P.S. Since women aren't allowed to drive here, I advice you to get a driver for your family members to get around the city. Because this isn't a city like Paris or London where there are a lot of pedestrians. And there aren't any public transportations. A driver gets around 1500 SAR (around 400$) per month.

    So let's how you'll do:

What you make per year: 288.000 SAR.

What you'll spend for the schools, yearly: 40.000 SAR (on both).

What you'll pay for electricity, yearly: around 5500 SAR.

What you'll pay for medical care, yearly: Less than 2500 SAR.

What you'll pay for a driver, yearly: 18.000 SAR.

What you'll pay for the rent, yearly: 30.000 SAR

**What remains after everything=  Let's say that it will be around 190.000 SAR. Maybe after you get miscallenous things like food 150.000 SAR will remain in which you can save by putting it as a college fund or in the bank or if you want to save for buying a house....etc

BTW, there are NO taxes over here so that's another thing that you scratch off the list ;)

    Hope I was a help!! :D

    Peace

  2. *well SR.24K/month is way above average in saudi arabia salary scale.

*first to do is ask for a detailed salary information.

*Talking about housing; a 2-bedroom decent app annual rental is SR.30-40K.

*Ask ur employer to find u an app in a compound even if company won`t afford it. I beleive, from many aspects, compounds are better to raise ur kids at. You`ll have more control on them, plus their mom will feel relaxed that they`re around and she can watch them all the time. One major point; compounds are highly secured. Moreover, kids won`t have to get out in week days and maybe in weekends since most have mini market, gym, sports yards, and swimming pool.

*Medical wise; employers are obliged to provide medical insurance for thier employees. Now, what you should negotiate for is covering the family, since most in KSA provide insurance for the wife and 2 kids below 18.

P.S. they usually provide the lowest class, so ask for a better class and pay the difference.

*Electricity & water bills -together- won`t exceed SR.500/month.

*Regarding transportaions; employers give SR.500-1500 monthly transportation allowance, and some others provide cars only for managers. If urs don`t, then have in mind that a medium class car (toyota camry/nissan altima) costs SR.80-100K that you can afford with 10% down payment and easy monthly installments. You`ll definitly need a car in KSA!

*International school annual fees average is SR.15K

*Ur yearly vacation shouldnt be less than 30 days.

*2-way tickets, to home of origin, should be paid yearly.

*It`s totally safe to live in saudi arabia.

*Alot of ur nationals live over there which makes it easier.

*For further info please address under the sub "KSA JOB" to "mr_oh_lala@yahoo.com"

  3. You're kidding me right ? an indian getting this salary is like he has one way ticket to heaven! 24000 SR converted to ruppies makes how much ? 270,000 thousand ? even your prime minister would dream of something like that. just leave everything and come asap.

Just don't forget to bring some curry ice cream with you.

  4. yess it perfectly safe.

and 24,000 SAR is about 6,400 dollers.

i dont know how much you ushally get but if this is a good amount of money for you i recomend you exsept the offer.

  5. ...you'll be living a very comfortable life with that salary......one family with 2 kids can live a decent life with more or less than SR10,000 per monthly salary.......you didn't mention what work you've been into so that I could apply also.....just kiddin'.....lolz
