I want to build a pond. I was thinking of using the method where you buy th already completed pond mould and just install it. The problem is I want it to be 3x3x1m. Is this the cheapest easiest, best way of installing a pond. Do you think I should rather use a liner or fiberglass paint. Please suggest the best way. How much do you think would the finished mould cost if it is available. I want to put a silver aro in

  1. it depends on what you want we built one out of concrete before that looked alright but that would be alot. the plastic pond liners are good also from what i hear and they are easy. and easy to put lil decorations in.

  2. personally i would use a liner, they are relatively  cheap to buy and a medium to good quality one will normally come with 15 to 25 year guarantee. pre molded ponds are normally not  deep enough for fish and they need to be evenly supported underneath otherwise they distort when filled with water. i use liners and find them the easiest way to make a pond, but they do need a good under lay to prevent any sharp objects piercing them when filled. this does not have to be expensive though, three inches of sand all round the excavated hole is good enough.
