Cost of re-finishing floors?

Question

Does anybody know how much it would roughly cost to re-finish approximately 3,000 square feet of antique pine flooring?

Has anyone recently re-finished their house, or is in the re-finishing business, and could just give me an estimate?

i can't remember right now,I think about $2.50-$3.00/ sf I could give you a better answer later today

Depends......I just had an estimate today and I am told that you get lower prices if you have no furniture in the house ...that way they can just keep going.

Unfortunately I am not so lucky.

I am paying 500.00 for a 10 x 13 room = 130 sq ft.

Also I am told the more you have done at once ...the cheaper the price.

probably doesn't help you that much but its something to think about. Call your local refinishers and get estimates ...they are free. Call at least 3-4 and go with the one you like the best.
