  1. It depends. I rented a horse trailer to bring home my horse when we first got her and we gave the guy $20.00. That's not a lot thought. It also depends on the size of trailer and the brand. You would want to find some one with a fairly nice trailer. Good Luck

  2. Where I am renting a trailer really isn't heard of unless you have a friend who will let you use it. We usually take a girlfriends trailer and split the cost of gas between all the girls going. It is better for all in the long run.

  3. In my area it costs about $50 a day to rent a trailer.  I also pay my friend if I'm hitching a ride with her horses, a percentage of the gas.  That works out fine too.  i dont' know what it would cost to rent one for a few months, but I know that you can buy a decent trailer for a few thousand, so if you are going to show  for a few years, it might make sense to just buy one.

    Good luck!

  4. When ever my mom transport horses they charge whatever 1/2 the gas for the trip cost. We have a two horse trailer so my horse is on one side, theirs is on the other. There are a couple big riding centers in the area that we have a flat fee when going to. That fee is based off of what my trainer charges.

As for renting a trailer for a weekend, I would think $100 or so for 2-3 days and you pay for gas. Thats just a guess though.
