Cost of replacement windscreen?

Hello does any body know the price of replacing a Rover 75 windscreen

Does your car have fully comp insurance? If it does then you can claim on your insurance for the new windscreen.

If you only have third party you will need to pay for it yourself. Unfortunately the front windscreen on a rover 75 is bonded into the car. As a result the unusual advice of trying to get on from a scrap yard is out. I think you will probably be looking at around the £200 mark for a new window fitted.

quickest way to get a price, call a Rover dealership.( tel.[phone] should be able to advise of cost.)

Or make a claim on your insurance, if the screen is damaged, it will cost you your "Glass excess" only, usually about £60.00 this does not count as a claim on your policy either.If the screen is only stone chipped this can sometimes be repaired, if that's the case the the repair will cost you nothing, and  again it does not count as a claim on your policy.

Don't know how much that would cost but if you are paying for it yourself and not getting it done from insurance make sure you tell the windscreen companies that when you phone for a quote.  

Also the smaller companies can be cheaper when you are paying  yourself.
