My hamster hurt her back leg about a week ago. And a few days ago I posted this question...

Well, both of them are seperated (they are in fact syrian, I looked it up :P) and I took away the injured one's wheel and take her out for about 10 minutes a day and play with her so her leg can get some exsercise.

My new question however is, how much would it cost to fix her leg if it was broken. How much would it cost for treatment for her injured leg?

I'm assuming just taking her into the vet would only cost 20(ish) dollors... at least hoping. But before I go in I would like to know what (if at all) I can expect to pay to make her better. Thanks in advanced!

  1. Most animals heal on their own, give it a while and check up on her every day. Also give her more food & vegies :D

  2. In the case of broken bones, there is no practical treatment for this type of injury. Other than medication it is not practical or possible to apply a splint to a hamster. Hamsters broken bones do heal very quickly. Make her comfortable by putting her food and water nearer to her bed. Prevent her from having to climb up or down, by placing her bed on the ground floor. Remove any ladders and wheel, restrict access to any tubes, by blocking them off or removing them. Try to keep her confined him to the ground floor only.
