just doing some research and was wondering what the cost in materials to the amount of fuel it makes to be ran as fuel.

this is not counting the still or anything to make it, just the ingredients.

  1. If you use waste starches such as potato peels or other sugary or starchy food waste, your ingredients costs will be minimal (as will your lifecycle greenhouse emissions).  However if you are using grain or corn, you will find that the costs could be quite high.  Also if you are using electricity to heat the still, this would be more expensive than burning gathered firewood etc (but make sure you build the required safety parameters into your still!).  Here's a good site for starters:

  2. It was 75 cents a gallon last year.Maybe $1.25.You have to register your still, and mix one gals gas to 100 gallons to make it undrinkable.

You buy your corn and sugar in bulk.
