  1. It depends on where your domain is hosted, and what types of service you expect the host to provide. For example, you can get a basic dot-com domain for less than $10/month at Network Solutions (the only Web host I've ever used personally). Upgrades such as the ability to accept orders from customers on line, SSL secure certificates, etc., would add to your monthly or yearly fees.

This assumes that you know what to do with your Web site once you own the domain. If you also need Web design services from your host, the cost will increase quite a bit.

  2. it ranges, but it isn't free. some are monthly fees (such as 6.95 from hostmonster) and some are yearly (19.95 from freewebs).

some have introductory rates of 2 dollars, then switch to 30 dollars after a year... with some hostings, you have to pay for a domain (blahblahblah.com) and setup and running the site. i prefer spruz and freewebs because they are free and easy to set up, but you can't have the domain, or .com, without paying a fee (see above for freewebs price).

    see my freewebs sites

see. no domain, it says freewebs.com/

    instead of ifyouare2cool.com

    http://www.freewebs.com/ifyouare2cool/

    http://www.freewebs.com/dikshunaree/

    http://www.freewebs.com/thebutterflyclub...

    i hope my advice helps!

  3. you have to register a domain, which is about $10 a year depending.  And than you need a hosting service.  I believe blue host is one of the better ones.

  4. it costs money

  5. a .com, sadly I checked one website place that said $50-125 AN HOUR! Another website said that it fits an average persons budget but didn't put out an actual #. (www.freewebs.com) is an easy way to get a good website (not .com) BUT you can easily update to becoming a .com website check it out and see the prices. Good luck!

  6. well it depends on what you want

you can make it as amazing as anything but of course that will be more...

i have seen it start at $5 a month but that ain't very good at all...

    explain what your looking for...

you want to make it from scratch? you want templates handed to you?

    try freewebs.com

    Good luck!

  7. Hey I run a website.

    Myscratchoff.com

It costs me 5.95 a month to host.  It costed me $11 to get the domain name.

Make sure when you get a website you have a good hosting company.  The one I am with is up 99.9% of the time.

You can email me at brp@myscratchoff.com if you have any questions.

  8. Depends how much data you plan to transfer a month. If its like a music, video, image hosting site it'll be pricy.

If its just like a blog, text and a couple of pictures. its $9 a year for the domain from like godaddy. And that's about it. You can have the domain name point to a free hosting service like geocities your isp gives you free websites too.

If you need seroius storage and data transfer, you'll be looking at $4 a month to $10000 a month. depends on what you want your website to do =p
