1. not much, most elderly intend to take those trip

  2. Go to cruisecritics.com and go to the Costa Roll Call Board, then scroll down to your ship and departure date. Post an inquiry on that thread or start one of your own. I found several people going on my cruise last April and emailed them before we left to get to know them.

  3. There have been quite a few on the cruises I have been on.

  4. There will be a "teen club" to meet people.

One suggestion, don't call it a "boat". It's a SHIP.

  5. It depends a lot on the cruise line. The Disney and Carnival cruises seem to have a lot of teens. I don't know about the other cruise lines. I'm sure you will have fun though. My daughter is very shy, but she met several friend on the first day and they had a great week together. Have fun!

  6. I assume you did some research. although Costa Cruise is owned by Carnival, it operates to mainly serve European clients. English speaking passengers only make up at most 20% of the passenger list.

You might want to check out www.cruisecritic.com in addition to the Costa web site (not much infor there) and click on the reviews for the Cruise Line and the individual cruise ship.
