  1. Well, Costa Rica is like a tropical paradise, with pefect weather in the highlands like San Jose, and beaches you can swim at all year.   Spain is great for history, like incredible cities with centuries old architecture.  Costa Rica will be much cheaper.  Spain will be more modern, with its high speed trains and a more modern, liberated attitude.  Costa Rica will be more traditional in terms of the singles scene, and it's still developing in its infrastructure.

Spain eats and parties very late.  When I lived in Barcelona, the discotecas didn't get going until about 3 a.m. and were empty(!) at midnight.  Costa Rica is more on a North American timetable, also with stores.

One other thing to think about is the neighbors, since you might take some side trips.  Spain is next to my favorite, the beautiful Portugal, and France, which is also fantastic.  CR is next to Nicaragua and Panama.

So, I'd say if you're into a more urban scene, go for Spain, and if you want nature and a humbler attitude, go for CR.

As for "better Spanish"  I didn't really like the accent in Spain. Do you think British English is superior to North American Eng?? You can learn Spanish equally well in both places, so a lot depends on you and whether you'll clam up with other English speakers or get out and mingle with the natives.

  2. Madrid  and Barcelona is the perfect base for trips to outlying towns. Many of these historic places can be reached in an hour or two and are well worth the visit.  to Toledo, Segovia, El Escorial, palace official residence  Spain Avila, Aranjuez

In the other hand  Costa Rica offer an awesome  landscape Scenery As variable in terrain as it is in natural beauty, the country contains both tropical and subtropical climates with landscapes ranging from coastal plains to rugged mountains.

Costa Rica is also a hotbed of volcanic activity with100 volcanic cones and several active volcanoes. There are a number of zip lines or canopy tours in Monteverde rainforest

I bet for Costarica Chep destination and it rain forest

Source I've  been there..!! Costa Rica

  3. Your so lucky!

Oh thats such a hard question!

I'd love to go to both too.

I'd probably choose Costa Rica though, I'm not sure why. I think that it's just the climate and the type of people. It might no be as exspensive as well living wise, because of it's location.
