This summer I am traveling to Costa Rica with the summer camp Rustic Pathways. Has anyone ever heard of Rustic Pathways or done a summer camp with Rustic Pathways? If so, please tell me about your experience. What do you think about international summer camps? Has anyone been to Costa Rica before? Again, please tell me about your experience. What is the food like, the climate? Any tips for when traveling in Costa Rica? Anything specific that I should make sure to pack? If you have any advice about Costa Rica, summer camp travel, what to pack, or ANYTHING... Please share!

  1. well my grandparent have a farm there and i visit in the summer. its such a beautiful country. its very tropical where ever you go. but if your not already used to warm weather then you might not enjoy it. good thing you are going in their winter(about 80' to mabey 95').everyone speaks spanish obviously and when you get there, make sure all your money gets turned to their currency. also when paying for something, make sure to have then write the price out or they will charge you more than the original price. if you dont tan but burn bring sunscreen. and lots of bug repelent. they are over populated with deadly scorpions and turanchulas. DONT drink public water. only get it from a bottle. also try the pickled pantain and apple nectar and peach juice!!!they are awsome. i cant even begin to explain the wild life! just bring a camera!!!AND HAVE A GOOG TIME

p.s     bring home coffee with you and if you visit a farm dont tell the people when you reenter the states

  2. I HAVE BEEN TO COAST RICA!! It was the best thing I have done in my life. The food was weird, allot of fruit, rice, and chicken (I would bring snacks if your a picky eater.) Its very rainy if you go in the rain season but it will just down pour for a while, for me it was usually a couple min.s (pack rain coats). The climate... its very wet. NOTHING dries, so bring no new clothes and then give them away. The kids/people there are very nice and cute (they love soccer.) The water fall are beautiful. Animal are so different (one animal would be a sloth.) Hikes are hard. Zip lining is so much fun. Horse back ridding awesome (get off in the bad parts of the trail, my friend got bucked off.) Water is so warm, even in the waterfalls, that is to us. THE BRIDGES are very unsafe. We dove though a river because we did not trust it at all. Would totally do it again
