  1. I have lived in and operate a relocation business in Costa Rica for several years now.  Anytime one of my clients or my own family want to plan an adventure trip with our without the kids we call our friends at vacation city.  They are travel agents located here in Costa Rica and know EVERYTHING you can do while you are here for a reasonable price.  They can tell you the best beaches, most popular tours and the best places to see while you are here.  They also have an online chat to answer your questions.  Their website is www.vacationcity.com.

Good luck with your trip, hope you have a lot of fun.

  2. It depends on what trips your trigger >>>>>>  beaches, mountains, canopy rides, white water rafting, hiking thru the jungle seeing animals, horse back riding thru jungle and on the beach  etc.  It's all in Costa Rica.

You need to be more specific.

Jaco & Quepos are 2 major tourist destinations.  Also further north is Guanacaste also very touristy.  if you want less touristy try further south.  There are also many EcoLodges all over.

    Enjoy

  3. I never bin there , but I hope that you have a good time there.

  4. i been their i live their you could surf tan good beach i live their for 4 years

  5. My girlfriend and I went last month. It was amazing! We were there 16 days and went from Alaquela (definatly much better place to stay by the airport instead of San Jose) to Volcano Arenal. Highly recommend the Hummingbird B&B in Castillo about 20 minutes from the Volcano. We then went to Monteverde. Cool town. The cloud forest wasnt that great, but went to the SkyTrek Zip line, and that is definatly the best zip line. A Must Do in Costa Rica.

From Monteverde went out the the stunning Nicoya peninsula First went to Brasilito. The beach was kinda dirty, but a great little town. But a 5 mile walk from Brasilito is Playa Conchal which is one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES IN COSTA RICA!!!! Great snorkling, amazing shell filled beach!

From Brasilito went to Playa Samara. REALLY fun place. Beautiful beach, amazing location, great people and even better atmosphere. Highly recommend.

From Samara we went to Montezuma. Montezuma was very cool, but not a great "beach" getaway. The beaches arent that great, but the town is fun and the rocky outcroppings from the land are really cool.

From Montezuma, headed back to Alajuela to go home=( This was a great tip for 16 days because 3 days at each location was just right. Check out my photos at http://www.flickr.com/gp/56766591@N00/j8...

  6. Okay I've never been there and I'm not too sure if Costa Rica is the right country I'm thinking of, but I think there's this huge jungle canopy hanging thing...It's kinda hard to explain but basically there's this thing where they hangglide you over a huge jungle canopy (several miles?). Anyways, I've heard it was a lot of fun (if Costa Rica was the country).

  8. I lived in CR for a couple of months in the North Puntarenas region (near San Isidro).  I'm quite biased, but this rural, mountainous region is absolutely stunning.  The city of San Isidro isn't glamorous by any means but it's got a very real and authentic vibe, it's the hub of the surrounding campo.  I've not been there but I'd imagine that the Chirripo National Park would be amazing.  This is a very safe area though without many English-speakers (I don't know if you speak Spanish or not) and there is absolutely not a more beautiful place on earth. Very tranquilo.

  10. Get a good guide book.

Moon and Lonely Planet are the best!

  11. San Jose has one of the Biggest Jade Museums of Pre Columbian Jade in the World - along with a Massive Gold Museums that is an absolute Must See while in Costa Rica!

Costa Rica also has lots of Galleries and if you go to the little fishing village of Quepos - on the west coast of CR you will be right next door to Manuel Antonio Nature Park and Beach which is world famous!

And that area has tons of Restaurants, Bars, Dancing places, etc to give you all of the "action" that you can possible handle!

I will be going there myself in June and I have been going to CR for the last twelve years!

    VIVA LA PURA VIDA!
