Does Costa Rica have 110 current, or do I need an adapter?

  2. Yes it will. Most hotels have 110 current supplies. Don't worry, Costa Rica has all the things the US has, and maybe even more.

  3. The short answer is YES....

    ...BUT...

    It depends where you stay as well, although the outlets and voltage is the same as in the USA, the place you are staying might have very outdated electric and might not have enough capacity to power the hair dryer without blowing fuses or circuit breakers... if you are staying at a descent hotel you will be fine, but if you are going to be way outside of larger towns staying at some old hole in the wall, you could have a problem.

    please that out outlets are difference you may need to bring you own one, if you are staying in some small hotels, they may not have one
