1. ~sigh~

No, you won't, just put some repellent on; it'd be a good idea to wear muted colors (mosquitoes are attracted by bright colors)

    Do not wear any perfume!

    (Note: it's Costa RicA)

  2. There are mosquitos, but they aren't that bad. Just wear repellant. And you might want to sacrafice the hairspray and perfume for the trip to help with deterring the mosquitos. Get some repellant with a high percentage of Deet and you should be fine. :-)

Do enjoy your trip! It's the best country!

  3. he he he... no you won't. the mosquitos here are smaller. but with some repellent they would go off. lots off people come here they they have a great time.

  4. I've traveled to Costa Rica since I was a toddler and I will be traveling there again the first week of July. As long as I can remember the mosquitoes bite me. I bring my own mosquito repellent (I prefer the one from Avon) and I sleep with a netted canopy over my bed when obtainable. I would not use perfume but I think that baby powder should do the trick to help keep you feeling fresh. I've been to Orlando in July and I would say that the weather is similar to Costa Rica's. I don't think that you will need to use hairspray. I personally keep my hair in a ponytail or use a plastic hairband.

  5. I go to Costa Rica every year like I have for the last twelve years and have never been bitten by a mosquito!

Buy some repellant when you go, chill on the hairspray and perfume (just take a daily shower instead!).

Dress like you do in Florida they will know you are a tourist anyway!

Have a great time! I am going there last week of next month!

  6. Not so. There are mosquitos, yes, like anywhere else. July is during the rainy season so that does not help, but you are being ill-informed about the dangers. Swap hairspray and perfume for repelant...and enjoy. |It is a lovely part of the world.
