Allow me to suggest going to the website for  "Quepos, Costa Rica"  That web site will give you many links for Real Estate folks in the immediate area who can further assist you.

You can also go to the website for the "Tico Times, San Jose, Costa Rica" one of the largest and most popular Newspapers there and check out their classified ads for condos/homes, etc.

Quepos is on the Pacific side five minutes from Manuel Antonio Nature Park & Beach and five minutes away from the "Quepos Air Strip".  It is 55 miles southwest of San Jose the capital of CR.and only 29 minutes away by Sansa Airways.

Weather is constantly not any colder than about 59 degrees and no hotter than 86 degrees all year around!

You really have to go down there and check them out. Nothing substitutes for the eyeball test.

Some thoughts from our experience of renting condos in Mexico for 2 mos every year......

Are there North Americans who own and use their condos at the site. If the majority of owners are locals, they will not talk or socialize with you. Nothing personal, its a cultural/language thing.

North American owners will only rent to fellow NA's. NA renters are typically 2 people. Local renters will put the whole family of up to 16 people in there and leave it like a dump.

If there are no other NA owners/renters there, the NA renters will be totally alone. Socializing is a the major part of renting a winter vacation unit.

How close are you to supermarkets, restaurants, the beach. Is it a taxi, bus ride and how much?

Prices are lower in both Mexico and Costa Rico, but I think that you will not like what you get for $50K. You need to be in the 80 to 100 range. What you have described sounds like in the $125 range

We have been in Limon Costa Rico on the Atlantic side. Do NOT go there. I have heard that the Pacific side is better.
