  1. If you're looking for a real estate tour or real estate in Costa Rica you should work with real estate experts that help people buy and sell real estate n Central America, especially Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua, like www.movetocentalamerica.com.

Most importantly, you need to work with someone (and a company) with integrity.  Buying real estate in Costa Rica or anywhere in Central America is much different from purchasing or selling in the US.

You should also become very familiar with the area you're interested in (by spending many weeks or months there) before purchasing anything.

    Enjoy and good luck!

  2. I agree, except I don't think anyone should buy property in another country until they have spent some time there.  Puntarenas is a Province and extends from North and West of San Jose along the coast all the way to Panama.  Where are you talking about?

  3. As someone already points out, Puntarenas (just one word...Punta Arenas is in Chile, not Costa Rica!) is a coastal province, and although  it's a small country the real state options can go from a small house in downton Puntarenas to really luxurious options in places such as Manuel Antonio or Tambor, which are tourist spots... or the more "ecological nature oriented" Montezuma Beach and Mal Pais, or the kind of secluded South Puntarenas' Peninsula de Osa or Drake Bay...

Bottom line, I would recommend you to take a trip down here and check it yourself, specially now that the summer has arrived!
