Costume ideas? Please help us!?

Our Horse Lovers Club is walking a few ponies in a very small parade, the Brownsvilee Pioneer Picnic Parade. The theme is 'Rockin Pioneers'. How should we 'dress' up the ponies???

Ooh! You can get little saddle bags and put those on. Um, put a pioneer hat on them.

How about using childrens face paint (non toxic) to paint pictures on the horse in a 'rocking' theme? Ive seen many pictures of people who have painted their horses.

This will also save the horse having to carry unneccessary equipment or garments.. just a thought.. have fun!

Have some of them look like native american ponies and have others in showy western gear.  You could dress some with heavy harness brasses.

Put a bonnet and dress on the ponies.

When I think of pioneers, I already think of horses and ponies. So how about playing up the "Rockin" part? Dress them all as Elvis. Or if you can dye them black & white, like the members of Kiss. Or your favorite rock band.
