  1. We had a swinging crib by our bed, which was a total waste of money really, so i'm pleased we only borrowed it from my sister.

We bought a cot bed which does from birth to 5 years... It's one of our best buys

  2. we've got a moses basket, we brought a large one so we should be ok till baby is about 5 months, then we will put him in the cot in his room when he out grows the basket. dont bother buying a crib either as they are a waste of money, we plan to use the basket up stairs and a bouncer chair or one of those bean bag chairs for down stairs, my mum said i loved sleeping in them when i was a baby.

  3. I have a moses basket and the nursery with cot has all been done since the birth, no need to worry about cot yet.  You can put the moses basket down stairs during the day and upstairs for at night.

A moses basket is worth the money, or get a large crib instead which is about a foot longer and will last until your baby is about 6 months.

(mine is still in moses basket at 6 months almost out grown now)

  4. id buy both

  5. not sure what a cot is but buy a crib for sure even if you buy the basket

  6. Definately get both if you can. I used to place the moses basket in the cot at night as I felt the cot was too big for a small baby but didn't want to put the basket on the floor.

  7. I had both when my children were born, but i did not use the cot until they had out grown the moses basket which was about three months old.

If I was to have another baby I would still use a moses basket to start with because they are easy to move around, and if you have a baby that is often sick after a feed, which my first one was you will end up with less washing. You will have plenty off that without making more for yourself.

  8. i got a moses basket.............i dont trust cots

  9. I had a moses basket when I was young and then switched to a cot after a couple of months.

  10. i would bye both one for each child

  11. A moses basket is good, as you can bring it downstairs with you in the morning. Some also come with rocking stands so you can rock baby to sleep in the night.

I found that i didnt use my moses baskets for very long tho, about 6 wks on average, so if youre going to get one - go second hand.

Obviously you will need a cot.

This is my 4th baby, and i dont really want to buy a moses basket, i just want her to go straight into a cot, but we dont have the rm in our bedroom, so i am going to buy a second hand swinging crib (never had a crib before!).

You need to think about what you can afford, and how much room you have.

  12. Cot.

I have a moses basket and they really arn't all that needed.  Unless you get a second hand one.  You'll only use it for a few months.  My little one has been in her cot since she was 9 weeks.

  13. Depends on if you are tight on money. If you don't mind I would buy both. But if their cot is in your room anyway I wouldn't worry about the basket. When my son was newborn he slept a lot and would sleep pretty much anywhere. His bouncer was his favourite place.

    Its up to you.

    Good luck

  14. i had a moses basket for the first few months, so i could take it up and down stairs easy for babys first few mo0nths as their always asleep, and about 4-5 months in a cot. hope this helps
