Cotto-Margarito will probably be a great fight but will it be a great event?

Fights in the last decade have been classic fights but the only ones who know about them are the real boxing fans, fights that include:Marquez-Vazques, Morales-Barrera, Gatti-Ward, then ther are the fights that produce all the hype but not the fight like:Trinidad-De la hoya, De la hoya-Mayweather, Tyson-Lewis are not known for their fights but their event. When Miguel Cotto meets Antonio MArgarito it will be no doubt it will be a great fight, but will it be the hardcore boxing fans that watch it and the countries of mexico and puerto rico, or will it have stars and celebrities and be one of the rare occasions where the event will be equal to the fight. Whats your opinion on that?Great fight?Great Event?

Wont be a big event besides the MEXICAN vs. PUERTO RICAN. Outside of that it should be a great fight, unfortunately Margaritos lack of a good defense will cost him the fight.

But it should be a slobber knocker!!!

yeh cotto v magaritto will be a good fight....probably fight of the year i predict and however they are both great welterweights im concerning they are the two toughest welterweights in the world so the fans will get their money's worth and whoever wins that match impresivelly i can gurrante u tht floyd will come out of his retirement and fight the winner between cotto and magarito.....i think tht magarito will beat cotto becoz his th bigger man.

it's going to be a fight , i mean look at the fight with mosely and cotto , it wasn't an event

I think it will simply be a great fight. I wouldn't call it a great event, because neither man has built a rivalry against each other and neither has the star status for what you'd call a great event, yet.

It has all the makings of a great fight, but outside of boxing purists, most average joes never heard of Cotto or Margarito. It will not draw average curious fans. Real shame that some fighters do not get their due. But great for real fight fans that follow the sport
