Cotto dont want 10oz. gloves?

what do u think of cotto not wanting to use 10oz glvoes but 8oz. gloves against maragarito. to fight in vegas u must use 10oz. glvoes so this fight might end up on the east coast after all since 80z. gloves are used there

Yes thats correct on the west coast Fighters in lower divisons like welter weight must wear 10 oz gloves instead of 8oz.

On the east coast its  different they were 8 oz.

Cotto likes using 8oz gloves because they cause MORE damage and take less time to delliver damage. Also his best attribute is power.

I think cotto should get over it tho beacuse this aint the 70's anymore,  you cant just fight on one coast for your whole career, Also if he plans to have BIGGER fight's in the future he should at least fight a couple of times on the west. So the people out there become familar with his name.

Thats only ONE of the many factors that will delay the fight with Floyd Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto.

Well, since Margarito doesn't have a problem with the glove issue, it pretty shows me that he's willing and ready to fight Miguel Cotto under almost any circumstances and anywhere, if need be. I'm thinking in that case, it probably won't messy up or postpone the fight chances.

Though Cotto may not want make demands like that, if he plans on fighting other big names, since they may not be willing to accept, like Margarito.
