Cotto vs Berto/Cintron or De La Hoya?

Question

Miguel Cotto has plans of returning to ring by December.

Andre Berto fights in Sept. and could return for a December fight if healthy. Which could be the title fight Cotto is looking for,

Another already talked about fight is w/ fellow country men Kermit Cintron in Puerto Rico. Which could be a good fight for his fans in his home country and still set him up for another title fight because Cintron is a top 10 fighter.

Or a blockbuster fight with De La Hoya because even in a 70-30 split it could give him exposure that he could never get any where else.

or a rematch w/ Margarito what would you like to see and what would you do if you were Bob Arum (Cottos Promoter)

i been saying ever since Cintron lost to Margarito the second time that i think Cintron can beat Cotto and once again size is going to make the difference...People will argue otherwise and say it doesnt matter but once Cotto loses again the Excuses will go flying like they did after Margarito whupped that trick... Cintron stood toe to toe and took much harder and cleaner shots from Margarito before getting KOed whereas Cotto had to have a Track Meet in order to stay in the fight...Plus Cotto really doesnt have big power at this division and has faded in almost every fight except against Judah who has his own problems of fading at the end.... Cintron has every advantage in height and reach and lets not forget he has ONe PUnch KO power that will put as much pressure on Cotto as TOny did....also both guys are boxing veterans coming off KO losses to Tony with lots to prove and would love to see an eliminator fight with an already packed division.... as far as cotto vs Berto, i think it will be a great fight but next year or the following not now.... Berto is good and has great skills but is rather smallish and even though he is blowing out the scrubs he is fighting now not sure his power will make a difference against bigger welterwieghts... is a young fighter and would like to see him fight and beat a judah collazo or even quintana before stepping up for Cotto ....but their sizes are comparable and Cottos power should be able to do damage to the SMaller Berto and would be a very entertaining fight but in a year not now

Im leaning toward what voneric 1 said and good one. Cintron took Margo punches before getting KOed. Cotto gassed out again but wasn't able to excape to a UD. Cintron is not a Mosley and hits harder. From my understanding, Cotto is willing to take the fight. I believe Cotto would have to press Cintron, going to the body and protecting his chin at the same time. Cintron needs to use his jab, height, good foot work and balence behind his punches. Cetch Cotto coming in and hit him with the right. Cotto likes to slide in behind his jab unprotected. Mosley was able to time him coming in and hit him at times. My problem with Cintron, he cant box. I think he would be dangerous is he could. Berto is still green. He has some mad skills but still needs to tighting up some things. His speed, combos, foot work and movement could give Cotto problems but Cotto could pressure him and brawl if Berto cant give him something to think about. Berto can fight going backwards. Cotto doesn't fight great against other boxer unless they are small and he can run threw them. Berto skills are better than Cotto. Cotto skills are good against no defense fighter like Rito and Mosley. I still will give it to Cotto but might waver here and there.

VONERIC THE BEST ANSWER.. HE ANSWERED EVERYTHING RIZITE.. BUT I THINK COTTO CAN BEAT CINTRON.. I KNOW CINTRON TOOK MOST OF MARGARITOS CLEAN SHOTS.. BUT COTTO LASTED LONGER AND WAS LANDING MORE CLEAN SHOTS AGAINST MARGARITO IN THE BEGINING THAT WOULD OF DAZED ANY ANOTHER FIGHTER.. SO I SEE COTTO WINNIN THAT FIGHT.. I DONT SEE ANYONE OF THIS FIGHTERS BEATING MARGARITO NOW..SO THEY SHOULD JUST LET THEM ELIMINATED EACH OTHER.. AND MARGARITO SHOULD TRY MOVING UP A DIVISION IN A YEAR OR 2 FIGHT ANOTHER CHAMPION..

if he wants a money makin super fight than De La Hoya but if he wants to prove that he is still a good fighter and that last fight was just a "Bad Day" for him he should fight Cintron and that will be a big step towards a rematch against Margarito.
