Cotto vs Mayorga?

I read that Cotto will be boxing Mayorga on July 19, 2008 for the Welterweight title.Who do you think will win this fight? Remember, Mayorga was like unstoppable in the welterweight divison in my opinion.

Cotto is on the rise, should not have any problems if he stays professional, Mayorga on the other hand lives and dies by the Press Conference, he will cause a few scenes, insult Cotto a few times, try to bulster up ppv sales and then get his tail kicked, only to live to "loud mouth" another day.

Mayorga lost to Cory Spinks, Tito Trinidad and Oscar de la Hoya.  Tito and Oscar knocked him out.  

Cotto will demolish Mayorga.

If it's true, Mayorga's toast Cotto will blast through Mayorga faster than DeLa Hoya did.  Gimmic's and posturing will have no effect on Cotto, he will steam roll Mayorga.

Cotto will certainly be favored but I wouldnt bet the ranch as Mayorga can still punch like a mule and Cotto doesnt have the greatest chin.  My guess is Cotto stops him late but I would not be surprised at all to see Mayorga knock him out.

I dont know why cotto wants to fight this chump... maybe he was talking a lot of **** to cotto too, but mayorga is not good... somehow he beats forrest and vargas, but he gets ko'd by tito and de la hoya... not a good match for mayorga, because he will probably be knocked out and not a good match for cotto because its like saying mayweather got it easy... cotto is getting it easy fighting a weak mayorga now.... it'd be better if he fought vernon forrest...

this will diffently be a good fight i see cotto win  by knock out in the later rounds. this is a good fight that will make a good set up for a mayweather fight I this win would be a good victory to boost cotto career and put him up there on a mayweather level to make a big draw for a super fight in december or january.

The Mayorga that beat Vernon Forrest could POSSIBLY have defeated Cotto, but even then, I would still favor Cotto to win because of his relentless pressure style and his body attack.  The recent Mayorga was knocked out hard by Oscar De La Hoya and won a decision against a terribly out-of-shape Fernando Vargas.  So, currently I would definately say Cotto by knockout around the 5th round
