I used to think Floyd would out speed Cotto, but after the Mosley fight, I am leaning towards Cotto if Mayweather ever grows some stones and actually fights a top welterweight, whether it be Cotto, or someoe like Clottey, Margarito or even Williams, I think Floyd would be in trouble.  Cotto impressed me with the improvement he showed against Shane, and I always figured Mosley would have beaten Mayweather.

What Miguel Cotto did agains Judah and Mosley, I think he would not have any problems handling Floyd Mayweather's speed.  Cotto is too strong for him.  Mayweather will not like to be cornered by the ropes, and he do that a lot.  That 'Philly Cage' is going to get PBF in trouble.  Cotto can hit.  Even when he hit gloves, he still do an outstanding amount of damage.  And if Mayweather decides to run (which he'll do eventually), he's not gonna be the first to run from Cotto.  Cotto by KO.

Aggression?? Aint that what people said about Oscar and later about Hatton? And he beat De la Hoya and spanked the c**p out of Hatton. And I see him doing the same with Cotto. Cotto will start off fast and aggresive. And as soon as he tires. Mayweather will sense it and unload. And I love Mosley but lets face it. He is slower and weaker than he ever was. but still a good fighter. There is not one doubt in my mind that Mayweather will win. And once he does! Who will you have beatiing him next?? Lets face it. Floyd is special. Very Special.

I am torn on this one......

Cotto is young and hungrier than PBF.  The mystery that is PBF's defense is starting to unravel.  After his fights against DLH and Hatton, it's not hard to surmize that aggression, strength and effective offense are the way to beat PBF.  Cotto has this combination and it would be interesting to see how he would fare against PBF.

PBF has the type of style that gives a fighter like Cotto the fits.  Cotto gives a lot of opportunities for someone with speed...and we know PBF has it.  What PBF doesn't have is the pop to set Cotto on the floor.  

I would like to see how PBF handles a strong effective bull like Cotto.  Unlike Hatton, Cotto has the strength to really define PBF at 147 lbs.  

Considering the rest of the division, this fight has a chance of happening.  I don't see PBF fighting the other taller guys at 147....heck I don't see Cotto jumping at them either.  

I bet Cotto is wishing that he was in the ring the night PBF fought DLH.  If PBF were to fight Cotto that way, Cotto would win.  

If pinned down.....I would pick PBF in a track show.  He'd run all night.

Mayweather would win this fight and cotto's aggression would work against him and help mayweather counter him all night. Cotto is good but not good enough to take mayweather out. Mayweather is too fast for him and his defense is nothing short of amazing. True cotto was able to get a decision against mosely but that fight could have gone either way and I think shane mosely is a lot easier to hit than floyd is. The main issue for cotto i think will be the speed difference , judah and mosely are both fast and cotto beat them but the difference was he was able to "hit" them often , he wont be able to do that to Mayweather because of his defense and everytime cotto misses ... mayweather will make him pay.

You have to ask yourself this question. How many fighter thought they was going to beat PBF, by aggression? In the Shane fight, they stopped the match when Cotto was stun, for some water on the floor. When it comes to that fight, alot of Cotto fans, forget what happen. Only thing they know, is Cotto won and threw some big shots. If your trying to go off there last fight with aggression. Hatton tryed the aggression thing and lost sitting on his but. Hatton is way more aggression than Cotto because thats the way he fights. Cotto started to get winded in the 9th round. Mayweather is a stick and move person. If Cotto try's to box, he will lose. If he try's to brawl, Mayweather smarts, ring usage, stamina and mental game will win the fight. Always remeber anything could happen. Oscar got hit in the right spot by B-hop. Talking real boxing, everyone has a chance to beat PbF. I think PBF would win, base on his skills. Cotto would win base on his aggression. Those both are base on my think, and thats all it is. We will know, when Bob Arum start being real and make the fight.
