Cotton King to bag a second success at Wolverhampton in the 32Red Handicap on 16th April
Taking part in the Class 4 32Red Handicap is a line-up of eight four-year and older thoroughbreds. The race will be hosted by Wolverhampton on Monday, 16th April over a mile, five furlongs and 194 yards.
The most promising entry for the race is Cotton King, Dubawi’s five-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Spinning The Yarn. He has raced during the new season thrice already and has even struck a victory through the second outing of the season.
He cracked into the season on 6th March in the Exclusive Free Betting With Freebetting.Co.UK Handicap at Southwell over a mile and six furlongs. Cotton King ended sixth on the line-up of seven while the winner, leading by 2 ¾ lengths, was Storm
Hawk.
Striding in as the runner up was the 7/4 favourite of the race, Mediterranean Sea. Settling into the third slot was First Rock.
Cotton King did not take very long to claim a race as on 9th March, he won the Mirror Punters Club Handicap at Wolverhampton over two miles and half a furlong.
Cotton King had to snatch the victory from the clutches of Blackmore, the 5/2 favourite of the race, who was closing in by a mere nose’s difference. Cotton King was riding with Stevie Donohoe while the runner up had Joe Fanning onboard.
Coming at terms with the third position was Russian George.
His third attempt of the season and second try at Wolverhampton had him finishing fourth in the William Hill – Home Of Betting Handicap on 10th March over a mile and six furlongs.
The race was won by the 5/6 favourite, Chabada, who led the runner up of the race, Halla San, by 2 ¼ lengths. Finishing the distance before Cotton King was Where’s Susie.
An entry to look out for is the six-year-old bay gelding, Quinsman, who has been nothing less than consistent in the last three starts with each getting him a second score. Two of his six starts were at Wolverhampton and both had him finishing as the runner
up.
Cotton King and Quinsman will give each other a tough time today.
