Cotton sheet types...help!!!! quick!!!?

Which is softer? Egyptian Cotton, cotton, satteen?

Which need ironing?

Honestly I would go to a store such as Bed, Bath and Beyond and see their samples for yourself.  I have been looking for sheets too and each brand is so different.  It has to do with how they process the cotton.  At Bed, Bath and Beyond they have a sample out of each of the different types of sheets.  You'd be surprised how different each one is.  If you go in, you can decide which one feels best.

Cotton Sateen - but only if they are about 400 + thread count 100% cotton.

egyptian, but make sure the thread count is ABOVE 250. the higher the better, and none should need ironing....who irons their sheets???LOL
