Cotton shirt to wipe my guitar with?

Question

Is a 100% cotton shirt fine to use to wipe down the body, strings and fretboard of my guitar? Or will that scratch it?

if you have one i would go to a guitar den and ask if they have the guitar cleaning supplies

A cotton shirt will work, but I found something better.  Receiving/birthing blankets.  Got a great deal on Ebay.  They work great for cleaning your glasses also.

Not unless you have a cotton seed in your cotton shirt! ; )

You can use the cotton shirt to clean the body, but I suggest using a lint-free cloth to wipe the strings and fretboard since a shirt is kinda bulky.
