  1. put some honey in a jar add some sliced onion & peppermint wait a hour then drink it.

  2. my never-fail, cure-all is

5 cloves garlic, chopped and peeled

    a k**b of ginger, chopped

    one lemon, skin on, chopped

    2 small chillies, chopped

place ingredients in large jug or teapot, fill with boiling water and steep for 5 mins.

drink strained mixture hot or cold.

top up regularly with more of the same ingredients and boiling water and drink at least 2 litres per day for 2 days and your cold should be cleared up.

this also works for fevers, stomach bugs, headaches.

    good luck and enjoy.....

  3. Drink tons of water. This will make the flem looser and better for you than cold meds which make you drowsy. Hot tea will soothe your throat from coughing. Take naps and relax for a few days.

  4. Here are a few simple home remedies that will help to overcome cough.  Suck a whole clove without chewing it to soothe a cough. Apples bring a great relief to a person with dry cough. Check out http://useinfo6.blogspot.com/ for more remedies and information.

  5. Drink 8 regular bottles of water everyday..but dont overdo it. Sit outside in the sun/weather for 15 minutes- like walk around, sit, jog, sleep, relax, listen to music, read...outside. Try all-around cold medecines..just look for one with all your symptoms that would treat them. Exercise like yoga in your room, relaxing music, etc. Eat apples, carrots, veggies, orange juice*, and other healthy foods. NO JUNK FOOD. It will only slow down the process. You can also try multi-grain cheerios or one of those healthy cereals with oatmeal in it. Have healthy breakfasts to start off your day healthy so you have atleast some energy to do the things you need to do to get better. Of course, get plenty of rest. Go to bed earlier than usual..and if you have trouble sleeping, put a fan in your room to keep you cool. Have a cup and water bottle next to your bed so that if you get thirsty or are coughing you can drink water, and...i know this sounds kinda gross but use the cup to spit up flem in. Cuz when you swallow it back down, it only makes it worse, upsets ur stomach, and spreads the sickness. I really hope this helps! Good luck!!

  6. i have the same symptoms = P

i dont know what to do either.

i took some mucinex for my stuffy nose, but my cough isnt getting any better =[

  7. Get some soluble vitamin C tablets and some Orange High Juice.  Boil up your kettle and mix boiling water, the High juice, and a soluble vitamin C tablet in a cup.  Drink it at the hottest temperature you can.  Keep drinking hot fluids every day until you are better.  Remember, it is very important that you drink the fluids as HOT as possible without scalding your mouth.  It is the heat that will kill the virus in your mouth, throat, chest, and nasal cavity.  Vitamin C is also very safe to take in large quantities, so you cannot overdose.

  8. to relieve the stuffy nose- Use 1 cup (8 oz) of extra warm (not Hot) water and a tsp of table salt,  get a baby syringe that they clean their noses out with.  While leaning over the sink with head turned sideways squirt one syringe full of the water up that  side of your nose and then turn head over and do the other side same way. This will remove the excess debris in your nose and clear the passages.  Do this 2 times a day till clear.

For cough drink warm tea with honey and lemon and use a humidifier at night to put moisture in the air.  This will help your nose from getting dry even though it is runny and keep your lungs moist so the flem can cough up.

There are some good throat lozenges at the health food store.  Choose one in your fav flavor or that reads the best that is a personal choice. I like the ones with eucalyptus because it also opens the nasal passages and allows for breathing.  The better you breathe the less liquid will build up in the lungs (that is not medical that is my experience).

Sleep as much as possible so the body can heal!
