Could A Nikon d80 Battery Grip work With The d40?

i saw this image:

it shows an image of a battery grip, that was intended for the d80 ( according the the comments ). it looks like it fits perfectly, will it ?, is this really a d80 battery grip?

nope - the d80 uses an enel3e battery which is totally different from the d40's enel9 - the connection simply wouldnt fit. Hahnel do a grip for the d40 though so if you want one they are available.
