I'm not sure what tone you are aiming for, but cool question.

  3. The Coven of Pretentious Teenagers

Seriously, if you think a coven name is something to get pulled off the Internet, you're not taking this seriously...nor do you probably understand the point of a coven.

  4. If is wonderful that you want to share your interest and knowledge with others.  However, a Wiccan coven is a very serious thing.  If you are thinking of starting a coven and are short on experience, you might consider joining an established coven to get some experience first.

Most covens have a degree system.  You learn and grow and "graduate" as a high priest or high priestess.  Then, you start a coven with the support of the mother coven to help you.  Running a coven is a very time-consuming and difficult task.

You might also consider just having a "sharing group" as opposed to a coven.  You and some other like minded individuals can get together, share ideas and knowledge and even do rituals.  This is different from a coven in that you are not stating that you are the "leader" but the coordinator of the knowledge sharing.  This is a good place to start.  Starhawk started out with a "sharing group" which evolved into a coven.  I was a solitary for many years, but I am now in a coven and learning a great deal.  There is always more to learn.

As far as a name goes, you can name a sharing group as well as a coven.  The naming is the same for both.  Think of something that you really like or that is important to you.  Starhawk is really into the Green thing, so she named her group "Compost".  Compost is taking something decaying and dead and transforming it into something that can give vitality to new life.   This was symbolic and important to her and to the group.

Many covens and groups name themselves "Circle of ______"  You can fiill in the blank with whatever you like.  An example would be "Circle of the Silver Dragon" or "Circle of Freya".  But you can also just use the name "Silver Dragon".  You would use Freya if you have an affinity with that Goddess.  If you have an affinity for snakes and love nature, you could call yourselves the "Circle of the Wild Serpents".

Nobody can tell you your own magickal name.  No one can give your group a name.  The name should represent what is important to you.  Just start writing down things that are important to you.  Don't think about it too much.  Then look over the paper and see what jumps out at you.

  5. Wee willy wiccans.

    The wonderful wiccans of Oz.

  6. Merry Meet Brandon,

A name for a Coven, Circle or Grove should come from within, not from without its body of members. In this way you not only make it special, but you instill your intent within its very name. If you gain the name from outside the body of membership, your coven will always be dependent upon outside influences for its survival. I suggest you center and ground your energies as a group and meditate on the issue as a body that way you begin a coven on firm ground.

I hope this blurp helps out.

    Blessed Be

  7. The Lewellyn Fluffies

  8. HOW ABOUT THE "SISTERS OF SILLY SUPERSTITION"? DO YOU GET NAKED? CAN I WATCH?

  9. Wow, people can be jerks!

Naming a coven isn't something you can just think of.  Do you worship certain Gods and Goddesses?  Depending on your faith, it's hard to whip up ideas.  Or maybe I take it more seriously than most.

Simone, find something better to do with your time than spread your propaganda around.
