Could Biolage Ultra Hydrating Balm be damaging to hair in the long run? Pleaaase help!!?

I need a conditioner to use to make my very dry hair feel better..and I noticed that Cetearyl Alcohol was the second ingredient listed for this Biolage product..which is why i'm asking this question.

Can it be damaging to your hair in the long run? Instead of making your hair feel better?

I used this biolage ultra hydrating shampoo and conditoner ultra hydrating balm and it works the first few days then makes your hair very greasy and frizzy. I have extremely naturally curly hair and it made my hair worse . I thought buying a high end product would put moisture in my hair but sometime more expensive isn't always better. Now i have to get a clarifying treatment to get all the build up out . I suggest sticking with something cheaper and something that won't damage hair . Good luck sweetie .
