I mean even a casual glance at an Asian,Caucasoid and a black person,it's obvious that on a continental level scale, there is general variation between the races, right!? Some races are shorter/taller,some have more fat storing cells(Native Americans come to mind),some have greater average intelligence, like Koreans;etc

  1. i hope so , i want it to happend to see the faces on all the religious fanatics XDD

  2. A geneticist Neill Risch has already done this kind of work, and demonstrated that people are accurately placed into their self identified racial groups by a computer analyzing multiple loci. The most distinct group were sub Saharan Africans, then Europeans, the Australoids, then finally the native Americans and Asians (who are really close genetically).

Subspecies are inter-fertile BTW, for the person that made that mistake. They interbreed quite a bit. So do different species too, the dividing line is very vague.

The technical definition of race in biology is: 'a subset of a population that shares characteristics, and that usually reproduces with it's own members'. It's class lower than subspecies. It's perfectly adequate to describe the difference between human groups.

Yes, there are some major differences between races. Pygmies have a WAY shorter height and lifespan, they hit the menopause at 24. Bleating 'we are all the 99.9% same (inaccurately, it's 99% now) doesn't alter the fact there are some pretty significant differences between populations.

  3. Good question...

However, sub-species would imply that we could not successfully produce offspring, and no matter how different we may appear on the exterior, those different looking humans are virtually genetically identical on the inside!

Think of the variety of cows, or dogs, that there are, appearing quite different on the outside, however if a male Chihuahua, or a French Poodle, could inseminate a female Great Dane (with some help), they could produce offspring!

One exception, is the African pygmy tribe, which has been isolated for so long, from other mainstream humans, it's predicted that they will eventually become genetically different from the rest of us. Most pygmy women reach menopause in their late 20's, and most pygmies don't live past 40...

  4. All the reasons you give above are purely from living in different climates and continents, food sources. and general living conditions, you speak absolute rubbish, or just maybe, "you" break all the rules of being human.

  5. I doubt that any of the differences amount to any thing more than superficial differences that exist in most populations of animals that are widespread.  Since it is likely that all other humans will increase contact with all the isolated populations, they will probably lose their distinctiveness over time.  I serious doubt that Koreans are any smarter than any other group.  In my opinion, it is probably entirely cultural.

  6. Something like what you propose would have an enormous backlash. Most anthropologists and especially other races would consider this racism in the extreme. It's like saying that some races are more advanced than others. Black people, especially would want to lynch anybody for going back to this type of idea.
